Bayou Jambalaya


1 medium onion, sliced

½ cup green pepper, diced

1 clove garlic, minced

1 cup uncooked white rice

¼ cup butter

1 cup ketchup

2 ½ cups water

4 tsp apple cider vinegar

1 tsp salt

2 tsp Cajun Bayou Black Seasoning

1 cup cooked ham, cubed

½ lb raw shrimp, peeled and de-veined


Sauté onion, green pepper, garlic, and rice in the butter until onion is transparent.

Add ketchup and stir.

Add water, vinegar, salt, Cajun Bayou Black seasoning, and ham and simmer until rice is tender (about 25-30 minutes).

Add shrimp and continue to simmer, tossing gently with fork until shrimp is tender (about 5 minutes).
